The Foraschetto power station, which started producing energy towards the end of 2003, was built above an existing hydroelectric plant. It has a 5-jet turbine which can handle even the smallest flow rates and when at full regime it has a power of 600 kw producing around 2.000.000 kwh/year. It is situated in Chiesa Valmalenco (Sondrio), its water intake comes exclusively from the drain channel of a previously existing power station without any intake from the riverbed.
