Zinasco

An important environmental regeneration and enhancement project has led to the development of the photovoltaic park at the former Costiera quarry, in the municipality of Zinasco, in the Province of Pavia. With its significant installed capacity, the plant is currently the largest operational photovoltaic plant in the Group’s portfolio. The plant is equipped with solar tracking systems (trackers) that follow the sun’s movement throughout the day, optimising the exposure of the photovoltaic modules and maximising renewable energy generation. The project therefore combines the regeneration of an area previously used for extraction activities with the production of clean energy, making a tangible contribution to the transition towards a more sustainable energy model.
